Movie Review: Mega Mind in 3D

Mega Mind is an animated Disney Pixon Movie, it is about a villain named Mega Mind (Will Ferrah) that wants to conquer Metro City, but Mega Mind always loses his battles. Somehow, Mega Mind wins his battle by defeating Metro Man (Brad Pitt) the superhero. Suddenly, Mega Mind falls in love with a news reporter, Roxanne (Tina Fey), but in order to win the reporters heart, Mega Mind, has to fake his identity and his disguise was a scientist named Bernard.

Bernard was this smart scientist working with Roxanne, they were both uncovering Mega Mind’s weak points, but in numeracy accounts they wrote a book and big tabloid stories. Swiftly, Roxanne brainstormed an idea on how to create a superhero to fight Mega Mind and save Metro City from Mega Minds mesmerising spell. Remember, Bernard is Mega Mind, so Mega Mind was interested in this idea. So he created using human DNA (Dandruff), suddenly Roxanne discovered Mega Mind’s secret hideout, so she calls Bernard, but Bernard was in Mega Mind’s hideout. Than drama suddenly begins and the planned superhero DNA leaded up in the cameraman's nose. I will end there, I don’t want to tell the whole concept of the movie.

This movie is very creative and anyone person could enjoy it and it is in 3D, I rate it 6/10.

MY OBNOXIOUS BROTHER

HALF OF MY LIFE I HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH THIS MONSTER. MOST PEOPLE SAY THAT BROTHERS SHOULD SAVE YOU FROM BIG BULLIES BUT MY CHIC, SMUG BROTHER.

WE JUST DON’T GET EACH OTHER, WE LIKE ANCIENT WAR LORDS READY TO SLAUGHTER EACH OTHER AND LET VULTURE DEVOUR OUR RAW FLESH WITHOUT DISPOSING ANY.

WE TOTALLY LIVE IN DIFFERENT WORLDS, MY MOTHER OCCASIONALLY SAYS WE HAVE SIMILARITIES, BUT HE HAS HIS OWN DEMONS THAT HE IS STRUGGLING TO FIGHT WITH.

SOMETIMES I DREAM ABOUT HAVING THE PREFECT BROTHER THAT WILL PICK ME UP WHEN I FALL OR CHASE AWAY THE REGULAR BULLIES, BUT I GUESS THAT IS A DREAM THAT I WILL NEVER WITNESS.

THE FUNNY THING IS I AM FILLED WITH A FEELING OF TERROR THAT IN FUTURE I WILL BE LIKE HIM.

HE IS THE TYPICAL ‘BORING’ FATHER FIGURES THAT ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING AND DEMANDING. SOMETIMES I WANDER IS HE HAPPY OR HE IS THE KIND OF PERSON THAT BLAMES EVERYONE FOR HIS WRETCHEDNESS, NOR REGRETS EVERYTHING AND WANTS TO RECEIVE A SECOND CHANCE.

HALARIOUSLY, I STILL HAVE FAITH IN HIM THAT HE WILL CHANGE; IF HE COULD JUST BELIEVE IN THE ALMIGHTY AND HIS CREATOR. I NORMALLY DREAM AND PRAY TO GOD EVERYTIME I GO TO BED THAT HE COULD BE SUCCESSFUL AND LEAVE A HAPPY LIFE.

BUT WHATS THE POINT HE HATES ME, BUT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM AND WISH HIM THE BEST. MY OBNOXIOUS, INTOLERABLE AND HATEFUL BOTHER.

Book Review: The Scarletti Curse

The Scarletti Curse is darkly passionate tale of love and a follow-up curse, this tale is a gothic story yet mesmerising and romantic. This international best-selling tale is a prequel to Dark symphony. The classic novel The Scarletti Curse by Christine Feehan is, in my opinion, mesmerising and gripping blend of horror and romance. Written in 2001, is is an epic family saga full of hate, lust, desire and revenge, focusing on Nicoletta and Giovanni. The atmospheric setting of the wild countryside of Spain (setting not accurate on the book) cleverly grabs attention of violence.

Nicoletta is a traditional healer/herbalist, she summoned by the don to attend an ill child, Sophie, and her uncle Don Giovanni Scarletti. The Don and young Sophie ate a poisoned soup, and they were gradually ill. So, Mari Pia and Nicoletta were both assigned to heal the patients. The funny thing is, that they were both in disguise because they were afraid that the don could identify them. Smart enough, the don recognized them.

The Scarletti is a family, that is well-known of a curse that stark family a few years ago, this family is very wealthy and owns a lot of lands in Spain. The family signed a treaty with a few lands, and the treaty states that the family will protect the lands, but the treaty also comes with another term and condition that the family’s don will come anytime to any village to marry a peasant, so Giovanni is the don of the family, so he comes to a certain village and indentifies Nicoletta and he offers a bridal covenant. The bad part is that, Nicoletta doesn’t love the man and she also heard about the bad side of the Don Scarletti, but Nicoletta's guardian, Mari Pia refuses this engagement. If Mari Pia refuses the bridal covenant would be broken and the treaty would end. Nicoletta was not happy to live in the ‘Palazzo De Morte’ ( Palace of Death). So, Nicoletta is forced to live in the palace, but too for Nicoletta, the poor girl receives a tasteless home welcome from the members of the noble family.

Apparently, Nicoletta was in her bedchamber and suddenly Portia Scarletti, the don’s cousin, the noble woman insulted Nicoletta by calling her names and chasing her away. Nicoletta had a bad vibe with the family, the bad was that Nicoletta found out that her mother and her aunt were murder in the palace. I will end there, so go out and get The Scarletti Curse, I truly recommend the book it will heal your mysterious and gothic crave.   

My Thoughts

I know in my life I have done things that I am not proud of, and I know that at church we have been taught thing that are the basic principles of life, but yet I have not applied them in my life. I always tend to fool myself that through things I do in life I will automatically going to heaven, but I have learnt that Zion doesn’t come to you; you have to work for it. Good thing doesn’t come easy but you have to work for them and also it applies at church and in our life. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Home Wrecked

I am one of those people who are good hearted, but being good to those you love may feel good; believe me it is a token to a burden to your life. I was born in an astonishing, affluent and wealthy family, I got everything I ever wanted, you can name them, but material things did not fill my empty life. I always wanted love from my parents, instead I got gifts from every business trips my father attended and books from my mother’s library; I know I got smarter every time I got to read these books, I would come first in my class of straight A pupils, but still my parents were too busy to attend my prize-giving ceremony. Funny thing is I never heard someone say to me well done, Jessica. I am quite abandoned, I had no friends and my siblings were in boarding school, I would see them once a year. From time to time I wonder why my mother didn’t send me to boarding school. I guess that is an unsolved obscurity.

Wow, I never introduced myself, I am Jessica Smith. I was born on 4^th of July, yes I was born on the Independence Day, while people are burning fireworks, I was busy being introduced in a family that regrets the day I was born or should I say I was the black sheep of the family. I live in Malibu, America; where people always dance to the latest hip hop song or busy planning to have a beach party and demanding to break their virginity. My dad, James Smith, is the CEO of a multi-million company that is soon going to be worth billions of dollars, my mother, Nicole Smith, is a well-known for bestselling books; she is a full time author. My siblings, Mari-Anne and Anthony Smith, are post-graduates in Howard University; soon they will be both lawyers.

I know it sounds as if I am living this fairy tale life, my family might be flourishing, but they are lonely and are busy becoming extinct inside. I am studying at Gallows Secondary School. I may be born in a wealthy family, but I am lonely like a child talking with puppies. I have someone who keeps me busy, funny enough I am confused if I am in-love or I am emotional drained by my parents’ ignorance for me. I feel good when I with him.

From Fab to blab and from wow, woes and ewes!!!

GET DASHING LOOK BY JUST BEING CUTE INTO A SCULPTOR.

Normally when you are in the spotlight everything has to go perfect, I am talking from hair, face, neck, body, legs to feet. But some people can make a wow of themselves and others just plain woes or totally ewe. The phrase ‘Plastic Surgery’ is one of the best solution in Hollywood's terrible dilemma, I mean to be cut into piece, just to be hot on that dashing red carpet or to be famous for those few minutes yet many 5 star celebrities still bother cutting their God-given figures, fatty curves, pig nose, puppy-dog face or those sausage lips just to get hot on that Maxim cover or score that top notch endorsement deal or just stand on that red carpet just to get slapped by flashing lights and trashy comments. Now serious I know being a duckling is not always the best, but being slaughtered like a pig just to be a swan, to me its a B.I.G No No!!! I know Nicki Minaj’s body is to die for and those Angelina Jolie’s full lips or Hillarie Dove’s sensational straight on teeth.

I know fame is everything to others and making a first impression is always important for these money craving slaves, but if you got a huge EWE, you can totally be fabulous by just getting under the knife in Hollywood. Can I ask is it that bad being the ugly duckling on the worlds pond full of dashing money and fake beauty, now look at this on a logical perspective way, some people die under the knife for example Kanye West’s late mother went under the knife and lost her precious life. Michael Jackson, on the other hand got a bad surgeon, his skin was peeling off. The bad thing about this some simply become laughing stocks of the universe. An ice can always be trimmed in to a wonderful and exotic sculptor but, in every perfect fairytale there are always cracks.

WRITE SLOBY LYRICS AND GET A BIG BUCK.

You must agree, in the music industry you can make a big buck by just making a hit song with banging beats and some sloby lyrics. Recently, the music industry is inviting a bunch of new artist, and they get the worlds biggest glory. I will make a few examples of celebrities that are making a whole lot of cash by just making senseless music. For example our king of swag ‘Soulja Boy’ if your smart enough you can realise that all Soulja Boy’s songs are talking about his swag or how he made it up with his cranking moves or our new dashing cute Willow Smith who recently dropped her latest single ‘Whip My Hair’ if you listen carefully to the lyrics it basically talks about hair and how it can make you the ‘it’ thing. There are more celebrities, especially rappers they are always rapping about women, drugs, fame, money, jail sentences, cars and that recession will totally not affect them, while us ‘FANS’ sacrifice our lunch money or rob a person just to buy the latest album. Hmm, how smart of them!!!

Don’t get me wrong this is reality, but I will always love music but some songs have no sense. Do a better thing; buy a book or go hiking then just dancing along stupid music. But, I still will write about the latest album just to get you on a brighter side. I must admit, I do have friends who listen to crappy songs, but hey who am I to judge.

Artist Review: Drake

I have listen to a lot of hip hop rappers, but I never met talent like Drake’s. He feels what he rappers and that is not commonly found in typical rappers of the 21th century. Drake tells it like it is, and that's why I like him. Mostly, I do back up research on the artist I write about, but he in particular didn’t need research, I just had a good feeling about him; I hope this makes sense. All I know about Drake is that he is an Canadian that went to America to pursue his rapping career. From what I learnt from his lyrics is that his parents divorced at the age of 5. Drake is the best no doubt about it, he was discovered by Lil Wayne while he was busy with his mix tapes, but Drake at the meanwhile he has been conquering the rapping industry by a tornado.

Drake’s albums like The Drizzy Effect and So Far Gone were good in the market, but as soon as he released Thank Me Later, Drake got respect from the industry, as most people I know would say his album title says it all we truly thank him. I have listened to his album and sure I have been craving for it everyday as I go to bed, it is like he is this healing music remedy cleansings your music buds, I know this sounds stupid, but as soon as you listen to him; you will totally understand.

His album went platinum on the billboard charts, making Drake the ‘it’ thing. Thank Me Later is now one of the best hip hop album. In his album he features T.I, Mary J Blidge, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne,Alicia Keys and The Dream. All the tracks are sophisticated and they have a message behind them, but in every album the is a boring song that makes you sleep and to me that is ‘Karaoke’ this song is very hypnotic, obviously most of the tracks are rocking, I cannot even choose which one is the best. I rate this album 8/10 and I am sure most of you agree with me.

Are you confused on which career to follow?

Are you confused on which career to follow? Well, I have something to brighten you up. I have been reading the Sunday Times newspaper, under careers/work and I found something interesting and it will make some of you keen. I found an article about MBA (Masters in Business Administration) it said that if you have a MBA certificate, then you might get a job easily and get a huge pay check. MBA courses are rarely studied by black students  and it is always a few % in the country who consider it. I quote from an review from the Financial Mail that ' If you are a graduate on this coarse you stand a chance of receiving up R600 000 a year income or maybe more’.

Owen Skae, director of Rhodes Investec Business School, said on a Sunday Time interview that applicants certainly seemed to believe an MBA was a vital component in the creation of good and responsible corporate leaders. As we know Rhodes is one of the best universities in Africa, and excels in Business. But the bad part about this career most graduates are after the money not the empowerment of the field, and they get big salaries from the private sector and the public sector cannot afford it, which is quite bad reviewing from the economy of the country.

‘Local MBAs are a third to a quarter of the fees of an international tier-one MBA’, said Nick Binedell, director of the Gordon Institute of Science (Gibs) on a Sunday Time interview, so this means that it is quite an expensive coarse so, most graduates receive full scholarships. So be smart and invest on a MBA coarse and the country running.
